Why I am the best candidate for the job?
My Political Stance and Values: I stand for inclusivity, diversity, and the empowerment of international students. I believe in creating equal opportunities for every student, regardless of their background, and ensuring that all voices are heard in decision-making processes at QUT. I care deeply about fostering a supportive environment where international students can thrive academically and socially.
Key Issues I Care About: The primary issues I am passionate about include enhancing mental health support, easing the transition to university life for international students, and addressing challenges like housing and financial pressures. I also care about creating spaces that encourage students from all backgrounds to connect and collaborate.
Plans for Improving Student Life at QUT: If I’m elected, I want to focus on practical things that can make your life easier. I will work on expanding mental health resources, increasing access to career counselling specifically tailored to international students, and fostering networking opportunities through events and workshops. I also plan to advocate for better student accommodation options and transparency in the services offered by QUT.
Vision for the Guild: I see the Guild becoming a place where international students feel heard and valued. I want it to be a strong advocate for us, not just organising events but making real changes that improve student life.
